Brisbane Bicycle Service — Pricing Guide
How Much Does a Bike Service Cost in Brisbane?
An honest, up-to-date breakdown of bicycle service costs at Brisbane's premier workshop — what's included, what affects the price, and how to choose the right package.
The short answer
At Brisbane Bicycle Service, a professional bike service costs between $197 and $549 depending on the package. Parts replaced during the service are charged separately. All services are by appointment only and carried out by our expert mechanics with a 30-day service guarantee.

What affects the cost?
Several factors influence the final price of a bike service.
Type of service
A basic tune-up costs less than a full overhaul. If your bike has not been serviced in over a year, it will likely need more work — cables stretch, bearings wear, and drivetrains accumulate grime that shortens component life.
Parts replacement
Labour is included in our service packages, but parts are charged separately if they need replacing. Cables, brake pads, chain, cassette, and tyres are the most common consumables. We will always advise you before replacing anything.
Electronic groupsets
SRAM AXS, Campagnolo EPS, and Shimano Di2 require firmware updates and specialist knowledge. Our mechanics are trained on all major electronic systems and include updates in relevant service packages.
Hidden cable routing
Bikes with internal cable routing (handlebar changes) require additional labour. This is typically $250 plus parts and is quoted separately.
Pickup and delivery
We offer a pickup and delivery service for $50 (complimentary for club members). This is available across Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.
How often should you service your road bike?
For regular riders — those putting in 3–5 rides per week — we recommend a service every 3–6 months. Casual riders can typically go 6–12 months between services. Competitive riders and those training for events should consider a service before and after every major race block.
The most common sign your bike needs attention is a change in shifting quality. If your gears are hesitating, skipping, or not dropping cleanly, it is usually cables, limit screws, or a worn chain. Catching these early prevents more expensive drivetrain replacement down the track.
Braking performance is the other key indicator. Hydraulic disc brakes should feel firm and consistent — any sponginess, noise, or reduced power is a sign the system needs attention. Rim brake pads wear quickly on carbon rims and should be checked regularly.
